Ben’s dream of owning his own construction business has been a long time coming. Ben is a third generation operator and grew up around heavy equipment. After graduating high school, he moved to California to work alongside his dad operating excavators. Then the real estate crash slowed the economy, and Ben decided to join the Army. He served in Afghanistan as a designated marksman for the 82nd Airborne. He returned from combat with a Purple Heart and moved to Colorado where he started his college education and met his wife, Kelsey.

After getting engaged in 2015, Ben and Kelsey decided to move to Washington together, Ben’s home state. After graduating with a business degree from Western Washington University in 2018, Ben started MadCon LLC - a name in memory of his late friend, Nate.
